It's raining today: So What

Miles and Trane in 1958. But where did all those trombones come from?

  1. Great find! Love the end -- a 'deceptive cadence' (if I have my old theory terms right) -- switching to a major key.

The trombones came from the factory, of course. And the players - well - they came from places where they ask 'would you like fries with that, sir?'

  2. "My old joke is that saxophonists get all the girls, trumpeters make all the money, and trombonists develop an interior life." - Bob Brookmeyer

Which would bring us to all those great trombonist/violist jokes.
